In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

I went “Leaf Peeping” this weekend! Yes you heard right…leaf peeping, sounds a bit weird {creepy even}. But it is actually the name for the activity during the autumn season when for a few weeks the leaves begin to change colours. Better still, those of us {me} who go to catch a glimpse of this event as well as photograph it are known as “Leaf peepers” or “Leafers” {Sounds more like something related to a Maple Leaf game to me, but anyway}. It is such a beautiful time to drive through the town of Caledon, Ontario and see all the pretty fall foliage. Gorgeous displays of colour are everywhere from greens, yellows to crimson oranges & reds… Definitely Autumn time at its best!

Had an enjoyable family session this weekend with Danielle {a childhood friend} & her family. The location of the shoot {at her sisters home} was an absolutely gorgeous country setting near Cheltenham, ON. Although the morning started off chilly, there was soon a roaring bonfire going to keep us toasty warm. We really enjoyed capturing the day for you ~ Everyone was super nice and did an awesome job
I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
